Daniel Pugliese has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry.  Prior to establishing Designed Protection Insurance Services, Dan was the Property/Casualty Sales Manager for Marsh & McLennan in Pittsburgh, PA.  There he gained extensive experience in business liability coverage and in Workers Compensation.

 

Since founding Designed Protection, Dan has become recognized as one of the top professionals in the field of marketing and servicing Employee Benefit Plans for California employers.  Dan is respected among his peers, has in-depth industry-related knowledge, and continually stays abreast of legislative issues and health care cost trends. 

 

He has been asked to serve on broker advisory committees for major insurance companies; such as, Aetna Health Plan, Blue Cross of Southern California, California Blue Shield, Health Net, PacifiCare, CIGNA and Kaiser Permanente.  He is often invited to speak at health care industry groups, most recently the Voluntary Hospital Association.  Because of Dan’s multi-line insurance experience, he has participated in several projects devoted to 24-hour care and Managed Care Workers Compensation.
